Adopt the revision to Policy 7003, Selection of Engineers and Architects Pursuant to The Consultants Competitive Negotiations Act, to amend Rules 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 according to Exhibits 1 and 2 at this final reading.
Summary
The revisions were requested by staff and the Consultants Review Committee (CRC) and approved by the CRC on June 5, 2003, for recommendation to the Board.
The most significant revisions include moving the procedures for assigning the criteria for selection and scoring from the policy to the boiler-plate Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and Request for Proposals (RFP). These revisions are intended to more objectively align the procedures with the four distinct types of selections under the policy including Architectural/Engineering design, Design/Build, Construction Management at Risk, and miscellaneous professional services. The remaining revisions include clarifications and updating.
