Receive McGladrey, LLP - Auditors' Reports Required by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-133 (Single Audit Report) for the Year Ended June 30, 2013. The School Board?s external auditor, McGladrey, LLP, completed their Single Audit report in accordance with OMB Circular A-133 for the Year Ended June 30, 2013. The Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (the Schedule) presents the activity of all federal award programs for The School Board of Broward County, Florida for the year ended June 30, 2013. Federal awards received directly from federal agencies, as well as federal awards passed through other governmental agencies are included in the schedule. Federal financial assistance expenditures are reported in the general purpose financial statements as expenditures in the Special Revenue Fund. The total expenditures of federal awards amounted to $260,563,505. There were no findings or questionable costs reported for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2013. This report is intended to be used as a resource for management and staff. The Audit Committee reviewed and approved this report for transmittal to the School Board during the Committee's January 23, 2014 meeting. The source of funds to perform the Single Audit Report was the General Fund budget allocation for the Office of the Chief Auditor. There is no additional financial impact to the School District.
