Receive the Petition for Formal Proceedings submitted by the Superintendent in reference to this teacher and that teacher be suspended immediately without pay pending final action on these charges.
The Broward District Schools Police Department completed an investigation into allegations of Inappropriate Behavior. The allegation was thoroughly investigated and the results were presented to the Professional Standards Committee (PSC). A pre-disciplinary meeting was held with the employee, his legal representative, a School Board cadre attorney, and a representative from Broward District Schools Police Department. The cadre attorney prepared the Petition for Formal Proceedings and the employee was provided notice that a recommendation for termination would be presented to the School Board on June 24, 2014. The teacher has the right to request a hearing with the Division of Administrative Hearings (DOAH) within 21 calendar days of the School Board action.
There is no financial impact to the School District.
