Quick Summary / Abstract
Adopt Revised School Board Policy 7002-B, Land Purchases, at this final reading. The existing Land Purchases Policy 7002-B generally addresses School Board obligations pertaining to the acquisition of real estate. The changes proposed in the Revised Policy 7002-B were developed primarily to more accurately describe the real estate acquisition process and to restructure the policy to reflect the sequence of events in the process. The amendment before the Board was reviewed and approved by the Policy Review Committee on October 17, 2007, and approved as to form and legal content by the School Board Attorney. The School Board “Approved as Amended” the Policy at first reading on April 15, 2008; and “Approved as Amended” on June 3, 2008, reading; therefore, it is recommended that the School Board should approve the Revised Policy 7002-B at this final reading. There is no financial impact to the district. This item does not require a collaboration form from the Capital Budget Department.
