PURPOSE OF MEETING:  For The School Board of Broward County, Florida to discuss and approve Florida Safe Schools Assessment (FSSAT) 2018-2019, and any other items the Board deems necessary.

 

SUPERINTENDENT'S RECOMMENDATION:

 

1. Florida Safe Schools Assessment (FSSAT) 2018-2019 (Supporting Docs)

 

Approve Broward's completed FSSAT for 2018-2019.

 

Florida State Statute 1006.07 requires that school districts conduct an annual self-assessment of their current safety and security practices using the online Florida Safe Schools Assessments (FSSAT). The purpose of this assessment is to provide annual data reflecting the comprehensive support for safe and healthy schools so that district and school leadership teams can make date-informed decisions as they engage in strategic planning and problem-solving for continual system-wide improvements.

There is no financial impact to the District.
