CLOSE AGENDA

 

PURPOSE OF MEETING: For The School Board of Broward County, Florida, to Adopt Resolution No. 17-01 - Certificates of Participation, Series 2017A - Refunding Series 2012B, and any other items the Board deems necessary.

 

SUPERINTENDENT'S RECOMMENDATION:

 

1. Resolution No. 17-01 - Certificates of Participation, Series 2017A - Refunding Series 2012B (Supporting Docs)

 

REVISED

 

Adopt Resolution No. 17-01 - Certificates of Participation, Series 2017A - Refunding Series 2012B.

 

While interest rates remain historically low, the District is seeking to refund Certificates of Participation (COPs), Series 2012B.

The attached documents have been reviewed and approved as to form and legal content by Bond Counsel.

 

This refunding will generate approximately $450,000 in savings (net of costs of issuance of approximately $100,000). Actual savings may be higher or lower depending on the market at the time of pricing.

 

ADJOURNMENT
