March 1, 2016 - Leasing Corporation Meeting (Supporting Docs)

 

CLOSE AGENDA

 

PURPOSE OF MEETING:  For The School Board of Broward County, Florida to Hold the Corporate Annual Meeting as Required in the Bylaws which includes: Nomination and Election of Directors, Nomination and Election of Officers, and Ratification of Prior Acts, and any other items the Board deems necessary.

 

SUPERINTENDENT'S RECOMMENDATION:

 

1. Nomination and Election of Directors (Supporting Docs)

 

Motion to nominate the members of the School Board as Directors of the Corporation - Elect the Members as Directors.

 

The Articles of Incorporation require that the Members of the School Board be the Directors of the Corporation.

 

There is no financial impact to the School District.

 

2. Nomination and Election of Officers (Supporting Docs)

 

Motion to nominate President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Corporation and elect officers.

 

The Office of the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Corporation shall be filled by the Chair, Vice Chair, Superintendent and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of The School Board of Broward County, Florida respectively.

 

There is no financial impact to the School District.

 

3. Ratification of Prior Acts (Supporting Docs)

 

Motion to ratify any actions taken by the officers and directors of the Corporation since the last meeting on March 1, 2016.

 

There is no financial impact to the School District.

 

ADJOURNMENT

 

PURSUANT TO FLORIDA STATUTE 286.0105: If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the School Board with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, he/she will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, he/she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
