PURPOSE OF MEETING:   For The School Board of Broward County, Florida to Discuss and Approve Construction Bid Recommendations, and any other items the Board deems necessary.

 

SUPERINTENDENT'S RECOMMENDATION:

 

Superintendent's Recommendation

 

1. Construction Bid Recommendation of $500,000 or Greater - Modular Classroom Relocations and Renovations - Heron Heights Elementary School, City of Parkland - Project No. P.001629 (Supporting Docs)

 

Approve the recommendation for award for the above contract.

User Department: Office of Facilities & Construction;

Lump Sum Awarded Amount: $799,056;

Vendor Awarded: H.A. Contracting Corp.

 

The Adopted District Educational Facilities Plan includes installation of three (3) modular classrooms at Heron Heights Elementary School per the terms of the Second Amendment to the Modular Classroom Interlocal Agreement between the School Board and the City of Parkland. Construction Documents (CD's) have been prepared by Song & Associates, Inc. and H.A. Contracting Corp. has provided a lump sum proposal per their Construction Services Minor Projects (CSMP) Contract awarded on March 4, 2014.

 

Funds for this project are included in the Adopted Educational Facilities Plan, Fiscal Years 2016-17 to 2020-21, Page 96.

 

2. Construction Bid Recommendation of $500,000 or Greater - Modular Classroom Relocations and Renovations - Park Trails Elementary School, Parkland - Project No. P. 001608 (Supporting Docs)

 

Approve the recommendation for award for the above contract.

Vendor Awarded: H.A. Contracting Corp.

 

The Adopted District Educational Facilities Plan includes installation of three (3) modular classrooms at Park Trails Elementary School per the terms of the Second Amendment to the Modular Classroom Interlocal Agreement between the School Board and the City of Parkland. Construction Documents (CD's) have been prepared by Song & Associates, Inc. and H.A.
