PURPOSE OF MEETING:  For The School Board of Broward County, Florida to Discuss and Adopt the District Educational Facilities (DEFP) Plan for the Five Years Beginning

July 1, 2016, and any other items the Board deems necessary.

SUPERINTENDENT'S RECOMMENDATION:

Superintendent's Recommendation:

1. District Educational Facilities Plan (DEFP) for the 5 Years Beginning July 1, 2016 (Supporting Docs)

Adopt the District Educational Facilities Plan (DEFP) for the 5 years beginning July 1, 2016.

The District Educational Facilities Plan is being presented for adoption at this meeting and the public is invited to provide input.

The financial impact of this item is to approve the $2.6 billion District Educational Facilities Plan (DEFP FY17) for the five years ending June 30, 2021. The first year of the DEFP FY17, $481.7 million will be incorporated into the District's FY2016-17 budget.
